SMT Board Member Tina Paparone-Lutz, Co Founder Erin Taylor, Director of Events Diane O'Neill, and Volunteers Kristina Matkowsky and Diane Taylor
The day began with a beautiful clear, blue sky – perfect weather for a relaxing day of golf. Guests arrived and were greeted warmly by enthusiastic SMT volunteers, as well as the very attentive, professional and courteous staff at Laurel Creek. The shotgun start, best ball format play began at 9:30 am and concluded around 3:00 pm. Unfortunately, no one won the 2010 White Jaguar XF that was offered as the hole-in-one car courtesy of Cherry Hill Classic Cars, though everyone tried! After the round, guests were treated to a delicious rustic Italian luncheon served in Laurel Creek’s grand ballroom. During the awards presentation, co-founder Jay Taylor informed guests that the event had raised almost $9000 and brought the foundation’s money-raised-since-inception to over $100,000 in nine years!

Co-Founder Erin Taylor spoke about some of SMT’s incredible scholarship recipients and the good work that they are doing in their various schools. The day concluded with prizes awarded to the winning foursomes as well as the contest hole prize winners. Guests left that day after an enjoyable day of golf, looking forward to next year’s tournament at Laurel Creek Country Club to be held on October 11, 2010.

Can’t wait. Always a good time. Team McVeigh is going down!

Are the rumors true? I heard that they are creating a special Tee Box (Pink Tees) for the sole use of Team McVeigh. And that will have a maximum distance of 30 yards from the hole.

Next year we’ll win it all.
