A Note About the Privacy of Children Under 13

As the Sydney Mae Taylor Foundation’s primary mission is to provide support to children and families, we welcome younger visitors to explore our site under the supervision of their parents or guardians. That being said, we will not and do not knowingly collect or use any personal information of anyone under the age of thirteen (13).

You may be asked to provide information that can be used to identify you (your “Personal Information”) when you use certain sections of our website. As a charity, the majority of the Personal Information we receive will be used to process donations and registrations for our sponsored events. We will also use e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, and home addresses to respond to your comments or inquiries about our organization. Rest assured that any Personal Information you provide to us will not be distributed or sold to unaffiliated third parties, unless you have first given us consent to do so.

The Sydney Mae Taylor Foundation will disclose personal information to unaffiliated third parties in the following circumstances:

1. if required by law, regulatory or court order, or legal process;

2. if we determine that doing so would be in the public interest (i.e., if we were to suspect that you were using our website in connection with the commission of a crime);

3. to provide you with certain services on our website that are provided by such parties, as reasonably required to provide such services and;

6. Photographs; Use of

During our various fund-raising events, we or photographers hired by us take photographs of the event and event participants. We do use these photographs in our promotional material, on the website and for other purposes related to the Foundation’s purpose. At the registration for each event, we provide a form by which participants may opt-out of the use of their image for such Foundation purposes. As we will remain committed to protect your privacy while visiting our website, we will need to be able to make revisions to this policy to better serve this purpose.
