Karen has served on the fundraising committee for SMT since 2007. She is a real estate attorney at Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell and Hippel LLP in Philadelphia, an alumni of Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and Fox School of Business, where she earned her JD and MBA degrees, and a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University. Karen increases awareness of SMT to Philadelphia companies and individuals living in Pennsylvania. Although she doesn’t play golf (yet), she still enjoys the fall golf tournament and the spring casino night. Karen and her husband are blessed to have a baby girl, Marisa, and two cats, Sunny and Stormy.

Toby Peters began his work with the Sydney Mae Taylor Foundation in 2003, and served as the foundation’s Webmaster from 2004 and on. In 2005 to the present, Mr. Peters served on the Fundraising Committee for SMT. A favorite event is the SMT Golf Tournament, which takes place in September each year. In addition to his role with the Sydney Mae Taylor Foundation, Mr. Peters is a multimedia designer and consultant with BTS Incorporated. Mr. Peters is an avid outdoors person and has volunteered his time with the Pennsylvania Fish & Game Commission. He and his family are active members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill.
Mr. Peters is a graduate of Bradley Academy of the Visual Arts with a degree in Multimedia Design, with further coursework in Animation at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. He and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Plymouth Meeting with their daughters, Lily and Clara and dog, Pluto. Toby may be contacted at tobewan77 @ gmail.com.

Mike has been involved with SMT since its inception in 2001. He has golfed in every golf tournament since then. He has been a member of the Fundraising committee since its inception as well. Mike grew up in Marlton, NJ and graduated from Cherokee High School with Co-Founder Jay Taylor. Mike enjoys watching the Phillies, Eagles, and spending time with his friends and family.

Dana met Erin Taylor, SMT’s co-founder at a friend’s birthday party several years ago and they have been great friends ever since. Dana was borned and raised in Trooper, PA. She attended Methacton Senior High School where she started her love of community service and volunteering by co-founding a community help fund, serving on a community advisory board, and logging over 200 hours of community service in two years. She continued her volunteering at Shenandoah University, where she majored as a dance performer. She has performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and Carnegie Hall in New York City. She currently teaches ballet and jazz classes and runs a tumbling class in Berlin, NJ. She is married to fellow SMT volunteer, Chuck English and they have two children, Jessica and James.

Chuck has been involved with SMT since 2003, both on the committee, as well as a participant in the golf outing. Chuck attended Fairleigh Dickenson University, playing football and basketball there. He works for Dan Higgins Wood Flooring Warehouse and lives in Berlin, NJ with his wife, Dana and their two children, Jessica and James.

Sean S. Wooden is a partner in the Washington, DC office of a national law firm, Andrews Kirth, LLP. His expertise is in intellectual property and technology law. Sean received his JD with Honors from Rutgers University Law School in 1997 and his BSEE from Cornell University in 1994. He incorporated the Sydney Mae Taylor Foundation, Inc. and has been involved with the foundation since its inception. Sean served on the foundation’s golf committee for many years, helping to plan and organize its major fund-raising event, the SMT Golf Tournament, and has been advising the foundation’s Board of Directors since its inception. Sean also helped to incorporate another charitable organization, the Helping Children of War Foundation, and is a member of its board of directors. Sean hopes to use his experiences and his commitment to SMT to continue to help it grow and fulfill its mission of helping children born with heart defects. Sean is married with four children ages 12, 11, 8 and 4.

Chris Tegley has been involved with SMTF since 2005 when Marlin Leasing (dba Marlin Business Services) took a more active role as the Title Sponsor of the SMTF Memorial Golf Tournament. Chris served as the Director of Facilities for Marlin Business Services Corporation from May 2003 until March 2009 and was on the Steering Committee for Marlin’s charity committee, the Community Enrichment Guild (CEG) since 2004 serving as a Chairman (2005-2007) and general member. Chris is currently the Facilities Manager for Actelion, a Swiss-based pharmaceutical company in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Chris grew up in Willingboro, NJ has a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in American Civilization from Albright College (Reading, PA) and resides in Cherry Hill, NJ with his wife Jill, and daughters Marley and Maeve.

Jay is the co-founder of the Sydney Mae Taylor Foundation, along with his wife, Erin. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Jay has been a financial advisor since 1995 and currently works for Ameriprise Financial, along with running the SMTF since its inception in April, 2001, just after Sydney died. Jay enjoys playing volleyball and poker and lives with his wife, Erin, and their three other “heart-healthy” children.

Erin is the co-founder of the Sydney Mae Taylor Foundation, along with her husband, Jay. She has a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD. Erin has been practicing as a therapist working with children since 1997 along with running the SMTF since its creation in April, 2001, just after Sydney died. She lives in Lumberton with Jay and their other three “heart-healthy” children.
